Missy Chase Lapine is an American author. She is best known for her cookbook ''The Sneaky Chef'', published by Running Press in 2007.

Lapine was involved in a controversy regarding the cookbook ''Deceptively Delicious'', by Jessica Seinfeld, wife of Jerry Seinfeld. On January 7, 2008, Lapine sued Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld for defamation, plagiarism, copyright and trademark infringement in the Manhattan, U.S. District Court.〔(An Author Sues the Seinfelds, for a Cookbook and for Barbs )〕 On September 10, 2009, the federal judge on this case threw out the plagiarism claims.
